All inclusive resorts are a great option for a worry-free vacation. Your package typically includes accommodations, meals, snacks, beverages, onsite activities and entertainment and more, all rolled into one upfront price paid before you leave home. Even your airfare, roundtrip airport/hotel transportation and extras like spa treatments and off property excursions can be booked in advance. That way you can relax, ditch the wallet and just focus on having a great time. No worrying if you can have the surf and turf for dinner or if you can afford another frosty beverage.
There’s a wide range of choices in resorts, from budget to luxury, and each will vary not only in price but what’s included in your package as well. So how do you go about choosing the “right” all inclusive resort for your next vacation?
We suggest thinking about the following questions, then call or email us so we can help choose the perfect vacation that fits your needs.
*What type of vacation are you planning? Will is be a family vacation, a honeymoon or romantic getaway for two, a group of family or friends? There are resorts that are tailored for each type of vacation experience.
*What is your desired destination? Some factors to consider are weather during your travel dates, the cost of airfare (will you be flying during a peak travel time?) and how long it takes to get there.
*What resort features are important to you? Do you want a great beach, a luxurious suite, amazing pools, a waterpark, a kid’s club, golf course or fitness center, lots of dining choices? Do you want a small, more boutique-type resort or larger with tons of amenities? Do you want active and lively, or more quiet and laid back (or a combination of both)?
*What inclusions are important to you? All inclusive resorts are not created equal! Some include virtually everything, while others provide more basic inclusions with surcharges for some items. Think about:
- Dining – depending on the resort some offer a blend of international ala carte restaurants and buffets, while some offer limited ala carte dining (usually based on the number of nights you stay there) with buffet the remaining nights, and some offer buffet only for all meals.
- Watersports – most properties offer at least some non-motorized watersports, but may limit the time or frequency and may charge additional for some activities. Alternatively, resorts like Sandals and Beaches include a very extensive array of watersports such as snorkeling, scuba diving, kayaks, hobie cats, paddleboarding, tubing and more, and also include golf at select resorts.
- Alcoholic beverages – these are typically included at most all inclusive properties, but do you prefer top shelf brands and a good wine? Do you just want sodas and beer in your room or do you want a stocked bar including liquors and wine? Will the resort serve brand name liquors or will it be something you’ve never even heard of?
